Teens Caught Smoking Pot--In Front Of Police Chief's House
NAPERVILLE (CBS) -- Two teenagers picked the wrong place to smoke pot in Naperville, police say.
Police say Maximilian Salling, 18, of Montgomery and a friend parked their car outside of a home in Naperville and began smoking the marijuana.
But the home they picked to park in front of was that of Villa Park Police Chief Robert Pavelchik Jr., who lives in Naperville.
The chief tells the Chicago Sun-Times that he pulled up to his home in his car and saw the two smoking.
He got out of his car, used his flashlight, walked up and asked that the teens were doing.
Pavelchik says he smelled marijuana and saw the pipe and the bag of the stuff on the floor in plain view. Salling's friend was released without being charged. The rest is up to the courts.
