The teen was picked up early Monday in the South Shore neighborhood. A source says a boy picked him out of a lineup as the suspect who may have pulled the trigger.
Police said someone walked up to the front porch of the home and fired shots inside, striking Arianna and the teens, both relatives of Arianna's.
Arianna was sleeping on the couch when she and the two teenagers were shot. Arianna died Sunday morning after she was taken to University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital.
Police say Arianna is not believed to have been the target of the shooting.
Meanwhile, police say detectives have been questioning a number of people in a shooting that wounded a 12-year-old girl in the Little Village neighborhood. The girl was hit Friday evening as she walked with her uncle at 24th Street and California Avenue, near the California Pink Line stop and just a couple of blocks north of the Cook County Criminal Courthouse.
Police believe the pair was caught in the middle of gunfire between gang members.
