Teen Shot By Trio Exiting CTA Bus
CHICAGO (STMW) - A 17-year-old boy was shot in the back by three males soon after the trio had gotten off a CTA bus on the South Side Sunday afternoon.
About 2:05 p.m., the victim was approached on the 2500 block of East 87th Street by three males who had just exited a CTA bus, a report from police News Affairs said.
One of the three displayed a weapon and shot the victim in the lower back.
The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition Sunday evening, police said.
No one was in custody as of about 7 p.m.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
