Teen Shot And Killed In Oakland
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A teenage boy was shot dead in the Oakland neighborhood Wednesday night on the South Side.
The 17-year-old boy was shot once in the head at 7:07 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Lake Park Avenue, said police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti, citing preliminary information.
He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
