Teen Killed, Woman Wounded In Shooting At Party In Zion
ZION, Ill. (STMW) -- A teenage boy is dead and a woman was wounded early Sunday after shots rang out at a party in north suburban Zion, police said.
Officers responded at 12:54 a.m. to numerous calls of shots fired in the 2400 block of Gilboa Avenue, Zion police said.
More than 100 people, many appearing to be older teenagers, were at a party at the home, police said.
The partygoers were seen running from the home onto the sidewalk, street and alley, police said.
Adarius Green, 15, of the 3000 block of Gilead Avenue in Zion, was pronounced dead, police said.
A 26-year-old Zion woman suffered non-life-threatening wounds, police said. Hospital information was not immediately available.
Zion police and the Lake County Major Crime Task Force are investigating.
