Teen Girl Missing From South Side Home

CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are asking for the public's help finding a teenage girl who went missing Sunday from her South Side home.

Deandra "Dee Dee" Benn, 15, went missing Sunday when she left her home in the 6900 block of South Clyde Avenue, according to a missing person alert from Calumet Area detectives. She was on her way to the store and never returned home, police said.

Benn, who also goes by Meriyah Carter, is described as a 5-feet-2, 113-pound black girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes, the alert said. She has a small scar over her right eye.

Anyone with information about the girl is asked to call Calumet Area detectives at (312) 747-8274.
