Teen Charged With Series Of Thefts From Cars
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (CBS) -- A teenager has been charged with a series of thefts from cars in northwest suburban Arlington Heights.
Samuel H. Lee, 18, was charged with four felony counts of burglary from a motor vehicle, according to Arlington Heights police.

Lee was arrested at about 2 a.m. Sunday, after an Arlington Heights resident found two vehicles ransacked in a driveway on the 300 block of South Sunton Avenue. Police found Lee walking nearby with two GPS units and a camera that had been stolen from the vehicles.
He was arrested and further investigation determined he had broken into several unlocked vehicles to steal items that could easily be sold on the street for cash – such as GPS units, iPods, accessory cords and other items, police said.
Vehicles without such items in plain view had their glove boxes and center consoles ransacked.
Police said that a total of 52 vehicle burglaries were committed between June 8, 2010, and Sunday in the general area between Northwest Highway and Central Road. It's likely that not all incidents were reported to police.
Arlington Heights police were encouraging any victim of a vehicle burglary committed in that timeframe in that general area to file a police report.
Police also remind vehicle owners to always lock their cars and call 911 to report suspicious activity.
