Teen Boy Killed In Lawndale
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A teenage boy was killed Friday during a shooting in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.
Victor Vega, 15, of the 2600 block of South Central Park Avenue, was pronounced dead at 7:19 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Vega and another male were walking in the 2600 block of South Ridgeway Avenue at 6:40 p.m. when an unknown male approached and fire shots, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
The attack was gang-related, according to a source.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
