Teen Boy Critically Wounded In South Side Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) - A teenage boy was critically wounded during a Wednesday evening shooting on the South Side.
The 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg about 6:20 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Union Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala, citing preliminary information.
The Chicago Fire Department said the boy was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Police added the boy was in "stable" condition.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
