TCF Branch In North Riverside Robbed
NORTH RIVERSIDE (STMW) -- A bank branch in a west suburban grocery was robbed on Friday.
According to the FBI, a man carrying a red paper bag robbed the TCF Bank branch at 7201 W. 24th St. in North Riverside.
The robber was described as a black man in his mid-20s to mid-30s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hat, black scarf and brown coat.
There have been at least 218 bank robberies in the Chicago area this year. In 2011, there were 115, according to the FBI.
