"I'll see people staring at me, and they'll be like, 'Hey, what do you do?' And (I say), 'I swim,' and they're like, 'Oh, I've seen you,'" Grevers said.
After a morning TV appearance, Grevers and Dwyer were both swamped by autograph seekers wanting to see the gold.
The Olympic experience was something unforgettable.
"Such an honor and, like, a dream come true," Grevers said.
Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics is a distant memory now, and the bid wasn't a popular idea among all Chicagoans even when it was making the headlines every day about three years ago.
But Dwyer would like to see a Chicago Olympics.
"The hometown, I mean, I think it would be the best, obviously," he said, "I was bummed they didn't get it; maybe 2020, they'll actually get the bid."
