SUV Slams Into Jefferson Park Post Office
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An SUV crashed into a post office on the Northwest Side late Tuesday afternoon.
The vehicle crashed into the U.S. Postal Service building on the 4800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reports Milwaukee Avenue was closed down between Lawrence and Higgins avenues as of 6:10 p.m., after two vehicles crashed outside the post office. One of them, an SUV, crossed over the west sidewalk on Milwaukee and slammed into the wall of the Jefferson Park post office branch.
No pedestrians or people inside the post office were hurt, the driver was being taken to a local hospital.
