CHICAGO (CBS) -- A suspicious package that brought police and fire crews to a West Loop building for about two hours Wednesday morning turned out to be computer parts.
A few minutes before 8 a.m., police got a call of a suspicious package in a building at 541 W. Washington St., police said.
The police Bomb and Arson Unit was called to investigate and, by shortly after 10 a.m., police and fire crews had secured the scene, having determined the package contained computer parts.
Some vehicle and pedestrian traffic was diverted from the area near the Ogilvie Transportation Center while emergency crews were checking on the package, but traffic was back to normal after the scene was secured.
