Suspicious Package Hampers CTA Blue Line
CHICAGO (CBS) - A scare overnight on the CTA Blue Line turned out to be a false alarm.
Chicago Police Bomb and Arson detectives were sent out late Sunday to the Blue Line subway stop at Clark and Lake downtown.
Around 9 p.m. Sunday, police received a call about a suspicious package left on a platform. It turned out to be an empty briefcase.
After inspection, security gave the all-clear, and train service resumed around midnight, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
