'Suspicious Object' Shuts Down Blue Line Station

CHICAGO (CBS) - The suspicious object was found on the platform at the station around 10:30 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
A CTA guard found the "unattended package," prompting the UIC-Halsted station to close and all customers to be cleared out, according to Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.
From 10:50 to 11:30, Blue Line service ran from O'Hare to LaSalle and resumed from Racine to Forest Park, with shuttle service for affected customers, Hosinski said.
The UIC-Halsted Blue Line station was temporarily shut down after a "suspicious object" was found on the platform late Wednesday.
At 10:30 p.m., a "suspicious object" was found on the platform at 430 S. Morgan St., according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

The object was been determined to be "non-explosive," Alfaro said. As of early Thursday morning, all trains were running again.
