Suspects Sought In Washington Park Neighborhood Robberies
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning residents in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood of robberies that occurred last week.
Two men are being sought for robbing businesses, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
While leaving the businesses, the men would display weapons and take cash and other items, the alert said.
The robberies occurred at 8 a.m. July 22 in the 200 block of East Garfield Boulevard and at 3:45 a.m. in the 100 block of East Garfield Boulevard, the alert said.
The suspects are described as two black men, 20-23, 5-feet-4 to 6-feet-3 and 140-230 pounds, the alert said.
Police are also seeking suspects who threatened or used force to steal items from people.
The robberies occurred at 9:30 p.m. July 23 and 3:55 p.m. July 24 in the 5900 block of South King Drive, the alert said.
The suspects are described as 1-2 black males, 17-20, 5-feet-6 to 6 feet, 175 -185 pounds, the alert said.
