Suspects In Lakeview Home Invasion Held On $2M Bond Each
(STMW) -- Bond was set at $2 million for each of the three men charged with a home invasion that left a 77-year-old woman injured Saturday morning in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.
Eli R. Ruff, 18; Lilearl T. Taylor, 19; and Tracie J. Towbridge, 19, each face one felony count of home invasion with a dangerous weapon, two felony counts of burglary and one misdemeanor count of criminal trespassing to a vehicle, Chicago Police announced Sunday.
Officers were called about a burglary in the 3600 block of North Magnolia about 6 a.m. Saturday, police said. When they arrived they saw that the home's rear door had been forced open.
The officers walked in and found the unconscious woman lying on the floor with injuries to her face. She was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
The three men are accused of stealing the woman's property and car, as well as burglarizing another apartment in the building.
All are next due in court Friday.
