The driver fled from police on to Interstate 57, and proceeded onto the northbound Dan Ryan Expressway, police said.
During the chase, a suspect in the van fired several shots at officers, police said.
The chase ended near the intersection of 30th Street and King Drive in the Bronzeville neighborhood, police said. At that point, the gravy Chevy van crashed into the parking lot of the Prairie Shores apartment complex.
A suspect taken into custody apparently lived in the 3000 block of South King Drive.
No one was shot, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
Following the shooting, an undercover squad car was facing south in the northbound lanes of King Drive after hitting three parked cars.
Police at the scene said two Chicago Police officers were hospitalized with minor injuries suffered in a crash related to the chase.
