Suspect Shot, Critically Wounded During Grand Crossing Home Invasion
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A suspect was shot and critically wounded during a home invasion Wednesday night in the South Side's Grand Crossing neighborhood.
Police were questioning several people Thursday morning in connection with the crime.
Four or five people broke into a home in the 1400 block of East 73rd Street around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said one of the suspects was shot in the head, and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital of Cook County. Gaines could not confirm that the homeowner had shot him.
Four persons of interest are being questioned, police said.
