Suspect In Orland Park Home Invasion Found Dead
(CBS) -- Two men are on the run this morning after a violent home invasion in Orland Park.
A third suspect apparently killed himself before authorities could catch up to him.
This case has taken several twists and turns within its first 24 hours.
First, police were looking for 27 year-old Anthony Espinoza, also known as "A-Train." Investigators say he is now dead.
Police found Espinoza at an East Chicago, Indiana home last night after receiving a tip.
When police approached the house in the 700 block of Liberty, they heard a single gun shot inside. Police say Espinoza shot himself in the head.
Police believe Espinoza participated in an Orland Park home invasion and shooting early Friday.
Officers say two men forced their way inside, shooting a 30 year-old man and robbing him.
A third person served as the getaway driver.
We now know the victim, chased the three men responsible for the attack, through the neighborhood-- and gunshots were fired.
"He was an angry man that this took place, and I believe he said he was going to ram their vehicle," said Orland Park Police Chief, Tim McCarthy.
Police say robbery was the motive, and this crime was not random.
The get-away car was found in Gary. The two other men involved, have yet to be identified.
