Suspect In Custody After Stabbing In Mayfair Neighborhood
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were critically wounded Saturday night in a stabbing in the Mayfair neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The two males were stabbed shortly after 9 p.m. in a domestic related fight in the 4200 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
A 61-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and a 36-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back, Alfaro said.
Both were taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Fire Media Affairs said.
A man is in custody in connection with the stabbing, Alfaro said. He suffered minor cuts and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
