Suspect Charged With Shooting Man Over Cell Phone
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Far South Side man is charged with shooting and critically wounding a man in an argument over a cell phone early Sunday in the West Pullman neighborhood.
LeTroy Fields, 34, was charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with the attack in the 11600 block of South Harvard Avenue, police News Affairs said.
He and the man shot were on the porch of a home after a party when they became involved in an argument about the suspect's cell phone, police said.
Fields then allegedly pulled out a gun about 1:30 a.m. and shot the 30-year-old man multiple times, police said.
The man shot was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
Fields, of the 12000 block of South Wentworth Avenue, will appear for a bond hearing Tuesday, according to police News Affairs.
