Sunny Skies, Warm Temperatures Continue
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Temperatures will remain above average Thursday, and unlike this time last year, there won't be a flake of snow in sight.
As of 11 a.m., temperatures were in the mid- to upper 30s across the Chicago area with dry and sunny skies. The forecast high for the day is 48 degrees.
A ridge of high pressure is hovering to the southwest, keeping conditions warm and pleasant.
On Friday, look for a high of 47 degrees with mostly sunny skies.
But over the weekend, a low pressure system will cool the temperature down and bring rain on Saturday. As the temperature drops to 32 on Saturday night, the rain could turn into a modest amount of snow.
But we have no business complaining about a modest amount of snow. On this very same day last year, we had 21.2 inches of it on the ground.
