Summer-Like Stretch To Continue Until This Weekend
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A warming trend continued for the Chicago area on Tuesday, as temperatures were expected to feel more like August or July, before more autumn-like weather returns this weekend.
Tuesday's high was expected to be about 84 degrees, nearly 10 degrees higher than the average mid-September high of 75, according to the National Weather Service.
The mid-summer-like temperatures were expected to continue through Friday, with highs in the low- to mid-80s each day, and dry conditions through Thursday.
Friday will bring a chance of showers and storms most of the day. There will be another chance for rain early Saturday, as temperatures will cool off significantly, with highs in the low 70s from Saturday through Monday.
