Suit: Rapper Attacked Man After Chicago Concert
CHICAGO (STWM) - A Chicago man is suing the rap group Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony after the leader allegedly attacked him on the tour bus after a Logan Square concert.
Joseph E. Zeidel claims a the leader of the rap group Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony attacked him on the group's tour bus after their June 10 show at the Congress Theater, according to a suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court.
The suit claims Zeidel and his cousin attended the show for his cousin's birthday and paid a person believed to be the band's tour manager a total of $80 to board the bus for a "meet and greet" and "autographs from the band members."
Zeidel, of Chicago, claims him and his cousin were on the bus for about 30 minutes engaging in small talk with various band members and getting several autographs when Bryon "Bizzy Bone" McCane began harassing them loudly and told them to leave the bus.
The suit claims McCane struck Zeidel in the face and head twice, causing him to suffer a fracture and cut nose, broken glasses and other injuries. Zeidel also claims he suffered "extreme emotional embarrassment and trauma, with dozens of people watching."
The suit claims McCane failed to conduct himself in a "civilized and societally [sic] acceptable manner," failed to control his physical and emotional impulses, failed to keep his anger under control and failed to recognize when physical action would result in harm.
The 24-count suit -- which also names three other members of Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony Inc., the Congress Theater, owner Erineo C. Carranza, Sick Wid It Tours Inc., BTH Touring Inc., Sumerian Records, 50Nkick.com, 7th Sign Records LLC., Loco Entertainment, Oraclez Entertainment Inc., Sacrificez Inc., Songster LLC. and Antwan Davis and Mo Thugs Records -- is seeking more than $1.2 million.
A Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony spokesperson could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.
