The alleged crime occurred in June in the parking lot of a Gurnee retailer. A local newspaper reports the 24 year old victim was getting into her car when Harris asked to use her cell phone. Harris then jumped into the vehicle, punched the victim in the face, and tried to steal her credit card.
Investigators say Harris had been working part-time at a food store.
