Suburban Firefighters Plan Fundraiser For Family
NORTHLAKE, Ill. (STMW) - Firefighters from several north and northwest suburban departments are planning a fundraiser for next week after a Northlake family lost everything to a fire.

What caused the cape cod style home to go up in flames is still under investigation, but the owners said everything is gone including the wrapped Christmas gifts that were under the tree.
Deb Casa-Nave told the Sun-Times that the fire broke out in the basement, and while the family of six escaped unharmed, four of the family's five cats died.
In the meantime, her husband, who is a disabled firefighter, and the rest of the family will live in a hotel for now until they can find a place that is wheelchair accessible.
A Facebook page has also been set up for anyone wishing to get more information about helping out.
