Substitute Teacher Had 'Inappropriate Relationship' With Girl: Police
(STMW) -- A substitute teacher was held on a $50,000 bond Saturday after he was charged with having an "inappropriate relationship" with a female student, officials said.
Aaron Williams-Banks, 28, faces one felony count of indecent solicitation of a child with the intention of predatory aggravated sexual assault, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
Police were made aware of his "inappropriate relationship" with the girl and, after investigating the allegations, Williams-Banks was arrested about 6:35 p.m. Thursday at his home in the 7400 block of South Euclid, police said.
Williams-Banks lists on his LinkedIn that he has worked as a math tutor in the Chicago Public Schools district since March 2014. A representative from CPS could not be immediately reached for comment Saturday evening.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, according to the Cook County sheriff's office website.
