The man demanded the woman's money and cell phone, a university alert said. A second man, who had been walking ahead of her, stopped and also turned to face her.

However, the men fled north across Lake Shore Park after two joggers crossing westbound from Lake Shore Drive approached them.

The student was not hurt and the suspects did not display any weapons.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 16 to 17 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds with a thin build and buzz cut hair style, wearing blue jeans and a dark sweatshirt, the alert said. The second suspect is described as a black male, also 16 to 17 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 190 to 200 pounds. The second suspect was also wearing blue jeans and a dark sweatshirt.

Northwestern police are reminding everyone to be alert to their surroundings, especially at night, and contact them at (312) 503-3456 if you have information relevant to the incident.
