CHICAGO (CBS) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a doctor from Chicago's Stroger Hospital, on allegations he sexually assaulted two patients during gynecological exams.
Until he was fired, 28-year-old Luygy Zavaleta Jara served as a resident at Stroger.
However, in March, he was accused of sexually assaulting a patient during a gynecological exam, and of exposing himself to a second patient and assaulting her, also during an exam.

The hospital suspended him in early April, after the victims came forward, and a criminal investigation began.
"I'm not sure why the lapse in the time frame," Stroger Hospital spokeswoman Marissa Kollias said. "This is the first time this has ever happened here. We take this very seriously, so upon learning of the incident, we took very aggressive action to make sure that he would no longer have patient contact."
On April 19, following internal and police investigations, Jara was fired. He also has been charged with criminal sexual assault, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Stroger Hospital and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation said they conducted complete background checks on Jara, and he had a clean record.
IDFPR spokeswoman Sue Hofer said, in July 2011, Jara was given a three-year temporary license to practice medicine as a resident at Stroger Hospital. When the hospital notified the department of Jara's termination, his license was cancelled.
Police said Jara, a native of Peru, is believed to have fled the United States.
