Steakhouse Employees Robbed Outside Restaurant
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (STMW) - Two employees of a Buffalo Grove restaurant were held up by three robbers -- one of whom had a gun -- early Sunday after they told the robbers they could not access the restaurant's safe.
The robbery happened at the Outback Steakhouse at 720 W. Lake Cook Rd. in Buffalo Grove about 12:50 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.
Two employees told police officers they had just closed the restaurant and were leaving via the rear door when three males approached and ordered them back into the restaurant, the report said.
The employees noted one of the three was holding a hand gun, police said.
The employees told the robbers they did not have access to the safe or any large amounts of cash. The robbers then took an unknown amount of cash from the employees and then fled in an unknown direction, police said.
Buffalo Grove police continue to investigate Monday.
