State Trooper Injured In Rollover Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An Illinois State Trooper was hurt early Monday when he was involved in single-vehicle rollover crash on the South Side.
The trooper was on the off ramp from the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) to 87th Street about 1:15 a.m. when he lost control of his squad car, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper Mark Hall.
The squad car struck a tree, light pole and fence during the rollover crash, police said. No other vehicles were involved.
The trooper was taken in an unidentified condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, state police said. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening and he was expected to be released from the hospital later Monday.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation early Monday, police said.
