State Sen. Bill Brady Likely To Run For Governor
Republican lawmaker Bill Brady came to the Loop to formally ask federal prosecutors to more aggressively pursue gun crimes. He was asked if this was not part of ramping up toward another run for governor.
Not really he said, but , "Truth is known that I have been traveling around the state at the request of thousands of people to finish the job we started a couple years ago. We lost that race by 16,000 votes and although this certainly isn't time for a formal announcement, we anticipate there will be one in June or after the legislative session has adjourned."
Brady, who beat out a number of more moderate Republican candidates to take the nomination last time, says safe streets are part of the process of turning the state around.
