State Fixes Database Problem That Delayed Nearly 30,000 Unemployment Checks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The State of Illinois has fixed a database problem that delayed nearly 30,000 unemployment checks.

The good news is the Illinois Department of Employment Security said people can go online and file claims once again.

Those who submitted claims by Monday should get their checks by Friday, only two days later than usual.

People who were unable to file over the past two days can do so again and should be paid by Monday.
