Starbuck's Howls, Forces 'Starbarks' Dog Company To Change Name
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An Algonquin woman thought she had the perfect name for her business.
But then along came a certain coffee giant from Seattle.
Andrea McCarthy-Grzybek has a sign in front of her business in Algonquin that says Starbucks Coffee Co. wants her to change her company's name and logo.

She runs "Starbarks"—which offers dog grooming and boarding services--at 220 North Main St.
"We were contacted by the coffee giant to cease and desist," she said.
She did some research and found other business in other parts of the country named Starbarks.
"It's just a play on names," she said. "There's a Howl-A-Day-Inn and there's a Barker-King."
But Starbucks says it has to protect is copyright.
Andrea says she's not going to do battle with Starbucks in court and will have to change the name.
"My dog's name is Max, so we like Max's On Main," she said.
However, she said, there's a bar by that name in the area, and she doesn't need another legal battle.
She says she has a long list of options.
