Stanley Cup Rematch Moved To NBC Game Of The Week
(WSCR) - Last season, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers met seven times. Six of those games were in the Stanley Cup Finals. This season, the two teams will only met once, unless they see each, again, in the Cup Finals.
In conjunction with the National Hockey League and NBC, the Blackhawks announced today that their January 23 game against the Philadelphia Flyers at the United Center will be televised nationally on NBC. To accommodate the broadcast, the game time has been moved up to 11:30 A.M. (CT), from 3:00 P.M., as previously scheduled.
The game will mark the first meeting between Chicago and Philadelphia since June 9, 2010 when the Blackhawks defeated the Flyers 4-3 in overtime of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final to capture the organization's first title since 1961.
