Spencer Not Expected To Miss Lions Game Despite Broken Hand
(CBS) Lovie Smith said Monday that right guard Chris Spencer has a small fracture in his right hand, but the injury does not appear to be serious.
"I wouldn't say (he's) one-handed," Smith said. "Whenever you have a player finish the game, you feel pretty good about him going into the next one, but that's all we know right now ... Hopefully he'll be good to go."
Spencer left Sunday's win against the Panthers briefly in the first half when the injury occurred, but returned and finished it out.
Smith didn't give any other injury details, but did say he hopes a number of key players return against Detroit next Monday.
"We hope to get a few other players back," he said. "I'm talking about Chris Harris, Earl Bennett is getting better, Gabe Carimi, and then Matt Spaeth"
