Chicago police warn of string of stolen vehicles in South Shore
Chicago police are warning of a string of at least nine vehicle thefts over the span of about a week earlier this month in the South Shore neighborhood.
Police issued a community alert, saying drivers parked their cars legally at the following locations, and later discovered their cars were gone:
- 7000 Block of South Chappel Avenue on March 7 at about 8 p.m.
- 7000 Block of South Jeffery Blvd. on March 8 at about midnight
- 6900 Block of South Crandon Avenue on March 8 at about 9 a.m.
- 7200 Block of South Jeffery Blvd. on March 8 at about 3 a.m.
- 7200 Block of South Euclid Avenue on March 12 at about 6:45 p.m.
- 7000 Block of South Crieger Avenue on March 12 at about 8 p.m.
- 7000 Block of South Clyde Avenue on March 13 at about 8 a.m.
- 2000 Block of East 72nd St. on March 15 at about 4:45 p.m.
- 7000 Block of South Cornell Avenue on March 15 at about 5 a.m.
