South Shore Blaze Sends Two Firefighters To Hospital
CHICAGO (STMW) - Two firefighters are hospitalized Saturday afternoon following a basement fire in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.
The blaze started at noon in the basement of a 2-story residence at 7256 S. East End Ave., according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva.
Their injuries were "nothing serious,'' according to Roccasalva, who said they were taken to University of Chicago Hospitals.
Further details about the fire were not immediately available.
