Son Charged With Bar Owner's Death, Also Suspected In Father's Murder
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The son of a 67-year-old bar owner has been charged with her murder, and is also a suspect in the murder of his father.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bernie Tafoya reports, police say Cezar Henry Waskowski, 31, ran down his mother, Henryka Waskowski, and stabbed her to death.
Cezar Henry Waskowski, of the 3700 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue, is charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, police said.

Police said Henryka Waskowksi was chased down the street and stabbed, along with a man employed at the bar. Henryka Waskowski was pronounced dead at 3 a.m. Monday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and her death was ruled a homicide.
The 34-year-old bar employee who intervened suffered a minor stab wound to the neck, and was treated and released from the hospital.
While police were investigating Henryka Waskowski's death, they found the body of Cezar Henry Waskowski's father.
The father, Cezar Waskowski, 73, was found stabbed to death Monday afternoon in front of his home in the 3700 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue Monday afternoon. Tuesday autopsy confirmed Cezar Waskowski died of multiple stab and incise wounds, and the death was ruled a homicide.
As of mid-morning Wednesday, Cezar Henry Waskowski was a suspect in his father's murder, but had not been charged in that case, police said.
