Snow Likely Before Lengthy Warm Up
CHICAGO (STMW) - Unseasonably warm weather is expected to move into the Chicago area next week -- but not before a cold and snowy weekend.
The National Weather Service is predicting a 50 to 60 percent chance of snow Saturday night and Sunday, but less than a half-inch of accumulation is expected. The best chance of snow will be between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday.
By Monday, temperatures are expected to rise to 45 degrees, according to the weather service's website. High temperatures are expected to remain in the 40s through Friday, although there is a chance of rain on Tuesday.
