Small Group Protests Outside Chicago Police Homan Square Facility
(CBS) -- A small group protested on the West Side outside a Chicago Police facility that some have compared to Guantanamo Bay, reports WBBM's Rob Hart.
Homan Square is a Chicago Police facility at Homan and Fillmore on the West Side. It stores evidence and recovered property but the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper reported last year that Homan Square was the site of hundreds of secret detentions of suspects.
The paper said of the thousands of suspects taken to Homan Square, only a handful had access to a lawyer. The Chicago Police Department has said the allegations are unequivocally false.

About 30 protesters gathered outside the facility Saturday afternoon. It was a mostly peaceful affair. They waved signs and chanted. At one point, they blocked Homan Avenue.
There was a minor altercation between two of the protesters and some police supporters who were gathered across the street.
