Small Fire Evacuates Hyde Park Academy
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Students are heading back to class Tuesday morning after a small fire in the janitor's closet of a Hyde Park Academy high school in the Woodlawn neighborhood.
A still-and-box alarm was called about 10:55 a.m. at Hyde Park Academy, at 6220 S. Stony Island Ave. for a fire in a janitor's closet, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado.
The "small fire" was out by about 11:10 a.m., he said.
Students were evacuated, but were expected back inside by 11:30 a.m., according to Rosado.
