Skokie Students Mourn Teacher Who Died Of Cancer
SKOKIE, Ill. (CBS) -- Students and alumni of Niles North High School in Skokie were left reeling from the death of a beloved teacher and coach on Sunday.
WBBM Newsradio's Regine Schlesinger reports two of Daniel Horyn's students offered a musical tribute on a Facebook memorial page.
Horyn, 34, was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, but kept up his work as an English teacher and track and cross country coach during his treatment.

Students and former students from his 12 years at Niles North have taken to Facebook to express their heartbreak; many describing him as their greatest teacher, who taught them lessons for life.
After watching the Bears beat the Bengals in the season opener, Horyn died Sunday night with his wife at his side.
A visitation for Horyn will be held Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Dreschler, Brown, & Williams Funeral Home in Oak Park.
A second visitation will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church in Oak Park, followed by his funeral at 10:30 a.m.
