Skipped Toll Leads To Pot Bust In North Aurora
NORTH AURORA, Ill. (WBBM/CBS) -- Skipping a toll in North Aurora has landed two West Coast men in jail for drug possession.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Lisa Fielding reports, the Kane County Sheriff's office says the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. Friday. A deputy stopped a car when a driver failed to signal at an off-ramp from the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) onto Route 31, and also failed to pay the toll.

Based on the investigation, authorities learned the vehicle was registered out of Oregon and the subjects inside were traveling from the West Coast to the Chicago area.
The sheriff's deputy found approximately 60 pounds of high grade cannabis inside the trunk of the vehicle and both men were arrested, the release said.
Pablo Galeana-Rueda, 34, of Aberdeen, Wash., and his passenger Jose I. Hernandez-Calderon, 41, of Santa Rosa, Calif. were charged with one count each of cannabis trafficking and delivery of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis, both Class X felonies, as well as one count each of possession of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis, the release said.
Bond for each was set at $1 million and both are being held on ICE detainers, the release said.
