Sketch Released In Attempted Sexual Assault In Portage Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Authorities are releasing a sketch of a man who tried to sexually assault a woman Thursday morning in the Northwest Side Portage Park neighborhood.
The woman, 24, was walking in the 5100 block of West Grace Street about 11:35 a.m. when the man removed her clothing and tried to sexually assault her, Area North detectives said in a community alert.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 40 years old, about 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, the alert said.
Police think he may be driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe or Trailblazer with "sport" white lights, according to the alert.
Residents are urged to walk in pairs and report any suspicious people or activity. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call detectives at (312) 744-8261.
