Six Robberies Reported On Same Block In Kenwood
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A total of six robberies were reported on the same block over a six-day span in the Kenwood neighborhood on the South Side.
The robberies began on June 1 and continued for six days, where two men and a woman would approach a victim, threaten them with violence and then rob them, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
The robberies all occurred in the 4700 block of South Ellis Avenue during various times of the day, police said. A seventh robbery was also reported about a block away in the 900 block of East 47th Street.
The suspects are described as being 18 to 25 years old, police said. One suspect was described as a 5-foot-11, 155 to 200 pound black man with a medium complexion and braided hair, police said. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black pants and white Air Jordan gym shoes.
The other man is black, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-11, 180 to 200-pounds, has a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a gray windbreaker, police said.
The third suspect is a white woman, who is about 5-foot-5, 120-pounds and has a fair complexion with straight hair, police said. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and red Nike gym shoes.
