Six Hurt In Four-Car Crash In Loop
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Six people were sent to local hospitals Tuesday afternoon, following a four-car crash in the Loop.
Witnesses said a driver ran two red lights and was speeding before crashing into three other cars at the intersection of Monroe and State streets.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, six people were taken to local hospitals, although no one was seriously injured. One adult was in fair-to-serious condition, three adults were in good-to-fair condition, and two children were in good-to-fair condition.
Five other people involved in the accident refused treatment at the scene.
The driver responsible was taken into police custody.
