Sisters Charged In Home Invasion Of Romantic Rival
JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) - Two sisters were arrested after a feud allegedly turned into a home invasion Saturday in southwest suburban Joliet.
A 29-year-old woman said her former friends, Jessica M. Flores, 27, and Sylvia R. Flores, 29, kicked in the door of her house in the 1100 block of Ridgewood Avenue in Joliet and pinned her down on the couch.
"While they were struggling, the victim's 11-year-old daughter attempted to help her mother, but was struck and thrown against the wall," Deputy Chief Mike Trafton said.
After allegedly getting in a few more blows, the Flores sisters left the residence and the victim called police to identify the suspects.
Sylvia, of the 100 block of Bodio Place, and her sister were found around 7:50 p.m. at Jessica's residence in the 400 block of Walnut St.
"During the investigation the victim played an answering machine message from the sisters saying they were coming to beat her up over her relationship with the father of Jessica's child," Trafton said.
Both women were charged with home invasion and booked into the county jail.
