SI Picks Blackhawks To Repeat As Stanley Cup Champions
(CBS) Let's just hope there's no such thing as the "Sports Illustrated" curse.
The magazine has picked the Blackhawks to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.
"The Blackhawks will benefit from playing in the weak (now that Detroit is gone) Central Division," writes Sarah Kwak. "Oh, yes, Toews and Conn Smythe winner Patrick Kane (23 goals, 55 points), 24, are entering their prime. There's no other pick. Not even close."
It's important to note no other team has repeated as Stanley Cup champions since the 1997-98 Detroit Red Wings.
